From the Player of the Year to the Uniform of the Year, Hammy sits down with Mad Dawg to bring you all of the best stuff from the 2024 College Football season! It is the greatest award ceremony in sports and the most factual!!
I can’t believe it, but yes, ladies and gentleman, this is the 10th annual Hammys! This marks my decade of a tenure with Cheri, Vance and the entire Bulldawg Illustrated team. This year has been especially, well … special. As a middle school, high school and college intern for BI, my role grew over time; however, graduating from the greatest university in all the land in May of 2024, I hit the job search in the journalism field. I sat down with Cheri and Vance in early August. I told them, “I’ve looked around, but there is no place I’d rather be and no people I’d rather work for than you two and BI.” With that being said, I’ve grown so much in my first year out of college as a journalist and a person. There are growing pains, sure, but what a year it has been… on the field: ups and downs, in my career: ups and downs, but that’s life, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to bring you the Hammys yet again. Thank you, Vance and Cheri for another great year!

After a freak injury and not so routine surgery, Jarryd Wallace was left with a choice: keep his leg and live in pain or amputate and defy all odds! Four Paralympics later, Jarryd says, "It was the best decision in my life!" It's safe to say, he was right. Now as a father of two, he shares each win and each day with his two boys Colton and Levi! FIGHTER FROM THE FIGHT AGAINST SUICIDE FORD SHEPPARD JOINS HAMMY!

Ford Sheppard, a student at UGA, fought in the Fight Against Suicide and gave his testimonial on all that goes into becoming a boxer for an event like this. He gives his reasons why he fought and what this suicide prevention cause did at the event and continues to do. From no experience to an official boxer, Ford talks about his training, his walkout to the ring, what it's like in the ring, and thanks to all the supporters of the event. Ford went on to raise the most money among fighters and was awarded the champion's belt for gathering the most money for this unbelievable cause!! Carrie Smith serves as the Director of Student Care & Outreach at the University of Georgia.
